We built Makeeta, a Filipino culture creative agency, because we kept watching the same thing happen. Filipino artists were driving global trends while brands stood on the sidelines waiting for permission to engage. And when brands did show up, they showed up wrong. A campaign here, a placement there, a diversity checkbox that nobody in the community actually asked for. There was no real bridge. So we built one.

Filipino artists have been shaping music, taste, and identity for decades. The influence has always been there. What was missing, however, was infrastructure, a partner who could sit between brand ambition and cultural truth and make sure neither side got it wrong. As a Filipino culture creative agency, Makeeta exists to resolve that gap. Not by inserting brands into culture, but by building real collaboration from within it. We guide brands on how to show up. We develop artists into creative partners. We produce the work that makes it all real. That's not an agency model. It's a different approach entirely. I spent years at the intersection of music, media, and creative strategy watching Filipino artists drive global trends while brands watched from the sidelines. I built Makeeta to correct that imbalance, not by asking for inclusion, but by building pathways where our culture is finally centered. My work is rooted in one non-negotiable truth. You cannot shortcut cultural trust with reach or surface-level representation. I operate as a protector of the artists and a guide for brands ready to move past the checkbox and into real belonging. We are not here for quick wins. We are here to build a legacy that proves Filipino culture doesn't need permission to lead.
