OUR STORY

A VISION TO MAKE FILIPINO TALENT IMPOSSIBLE TO IGNORE

THE LINEAGE IS REAL

This didn't start with us. It started decades ago with artists who built something undeniable out of nothing. In the 90s, Jocelyn Enriquez, Pinay, and One Vo1ce cracked the mainstream when nobody thought they could. In the 2000s, AJ Rafael, Jeremy Passion, and Melissa Polinar built global audiences from their bedrooms before the industry knew what to do with them. Today, Saweetie, H.E.R., and Olivia Rodrigo are proving at the highest level what Filipino creativity is capable of. But their success is still treated as the exception. Not the rule. Talent is everywhere. Opportunity isn't. That gap is the reason Makeeta exists.

WHERE THE GAP LIVES

On one side, Filipino artists are driving culture with no real infrastructure behind them. No development. No guidance on how to build a brand that lasts. No clear path to the brand partnerships that could change their trajectory. On the other side, brands are chasing diversity while skipping over one of the most loyal, culturally sharp, trend-setting communities on the planet. Not from malice. From a lack of access. Most brands simply don't know where the door is. Makeeta is the door. We partner with the culture-carriers of this generation, Filipino Hip Hop and R&B artists, and connect them with brands ready to do something more meaningful than sponsor a trend. We don't just make content. We move culture.

OUR IDENTITY

THE NAME

To be seen. To be heard. To be known.

Makeeta is derived from the Tagalog word makita, meaning to be seen. Our name is our mission. We exist so that Filipino stories aren't just told. They are impossible to ignore.

THE LOGOMARK

The Sun and the Eye.

Our logo reimagines the Philippine sun, heritage, pride, resilience, fused with an eye that represents vision and focus. Together they capture exactly what we do: shine a light on Filipino talent and make sure the world keeps its eyes on it.

THE BINETWAGAN

Weaving Culture, Connection, and Craft.

The binetwagan is a traditional Ilocano weave. Strong, intricate, built to last. Historically its patterns carried hidden messages of resistance and connection. For Makeeta it represents the way we work, weaving artists, brands, and community into stories that endure long after the campaign ends.

THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING.

Filipino music is a legacy of resilience and global influence. The culture has always led. Now it's time the infrastructure, the investment, and the belonging finally catch up. That is what we are building. And we are just getting started.
